Nick, NOBODY is talking about forcing any kind of dependency management.
There would be no change to the package format or the package management
tools. There would only be a SEPARATE and OPTIONAL tool for partially
resolving a dependency graph.

Nobody is gonna get up in your grille. If you don't like optional tools
that make useful suggestions than you can ignore this whole thread because
even if it were implemented it wouldn't affect you in the slightest.
