I know nothing about mongodb, but...

Will anyone ever want to have only the core mongodb installed, without
the tools? Are the tools useful without the core package? If the answer
to both questions is 'no', it's better to include the tools in the core
package instead of making them separate.

That's my 2 cents anyway...
