[Slackbuilds-users] so-called terminal image viewers

Hi, can’t do it since I haven’t got the needed hardware. It may be sent out for diagnosis and repair quote eventually. Good you could test chafa with eyes as a comparative test. I have a chromebook and would have to download slint direct to a usb disk and then find out how to replace chromium with slint on installation. Lots of problems with chromevox I’ll not relay to the group since no interest exists here for that. My niece has a box and styrofoam but unfortunately though she recovered she got covid from her husband.

The view can be shown with symbols for a linux terminal and there’s even a braille mode and that needs either a braille printer with graphics capability or a refreshable braille graphics display both expensive for people but organizations buy most of those for that reason anyway.

SlackBuilds.org (SBo, which isn't (official) Slackware) has fbida & fbv, neither which can go to previous or next images anymore, apparently, which I reported years ago to the maintainers and one or more of the programmers but never heard back. That's why I'm looking for new stuff, and they're all called terminal image viewers but aren't: only X terminal viewers! There are a couple other framebuffer ones, but they don't seem to take input after you display an image.
