[Slackbuilds-users] I will no longer maintain SlackBuilds from Aug 15 onwards

Hi everyone,

This is the last weekly cycle in which I will maintain/update SlackBuilds.
I will no longer do so from Aug 15 onwards.

I previously said that I would no longer maintain SlackBuilds last Christmas, but I kept continuing to do so.
Sorry about that - the main reason was that getting LXQt to v2 was less stressful than I initially thought (which prompted me to make that claim last Christmas).

I mean it this time.
Software (and by extension SlackBuilds) are getting more and more complicated to maintain.

My main motivation recently has been to prepare for a new release of Slackware (ex. 15.1, 16.0, etc.)
I'm actually using Linux Mint Debian right now as my main day-to-day operating system.
I've been testing updates through Slackware virtual machines.

I might return when the first alpha of the next Slackware version gets released (ex. 15.1-alpha1.)

To the SlackBuilds.org team:
My suggestion is to orphan my SlackBuilds only when the next version of Slackware is about to get released.
I might make a hotfix SlackBuild update even during the Slackware 15.0 cycle (ex. protobuf gets updated, making python3-grpcio unable to build.)
However, you may orphan them next week if you like.
- Isaac
