[Slackbuilds-users] Updates on OpenMPI

Hi everyone,

I maintain the openmpi package. It is currently at version 4, and I would
like to update it to version 5.

I have run into some issues with OpenMPI 5 when using the CESM software,
but it works well with others like LAMMPS and GROMACS. Would it be possible
to upload a new version and keep both versions available in the repository?
What do you think is the best approach?

- Should I update openmpi to version 5 and create a new package for openmpi4
?

- Or should I keep openmpi at version 4 and create a new package for
openmpi5?
