As the writer of laptop-mode-tools SlackBuild, I can assure you that
the info on the site is just outdated. I use "start" and it works
fine. Slackware cleans /var/run properly.


If you think of MS-DOS as mono, and Windows as stereo,
then Linux is Dolby Digital and all the music is free...
