Regarding Kismet. So even though 6f23f2a[1] fixes building Kismet, you
might run into some errors. Most of it seems to work, but at least
trying to use RTL-SDR was broken.

For a working setup, I checked out d0f41c3[2], compiled protobuf3 25.3
and then recompiled Kismet. 26.0 might work also.

There are issues with protobuf 26.1 and higher and you can see hints
about this in Kismet's Git log[3].

Not a huge concern, but wanted to let you know.
