I emailed the upstream author and heard back from him. He's got a fix
that at least works for IPv6 (but apparently not IPv4). So, wait a bit
before you worry about testing it.

If I couldn't fix it, I would consider removing it. Better not to have
broken software in the repo. But, I think it's going to be fine.
