It's a feature.  :-)  I didn't want the script to create the local rsync 
root directory, but it will create the necessary subdirectories, i.e. 
/home/sbo/12.1.  If you create /home/sbo then it will proceed normally.

There are a few bug fixes in SVN that are not in rc2, so I'll try and 
roll out an rc3 soon.
