My guess is that your upgrade to 14.2 mentionned in this post:

didn't completely succeed, thus you have some files leftover from
previous versions that confuse the building tools, as seem to indicate
your other posts.

So my advice is: backup all you would else miss, including hidden files
and directories in $HOME, then make a fresh installation of Slackware
version 14.2.

All in all, this will save you a lot of time and hassle.
